Vision of the Department:

To have an excellence in Forestry education, research and capacity building for effectively enhancing sustainable economic, ecological, and social benefits from forests, wildlife and related natural resources to the society of Region considering their indigenous knowledge.

Mission of the Department:

• Producing High quality Forestry/Wildlife Management graduates.
• Conducting research with focus on sustainable forest and Wildlife management and conservation.
• Engaging indigenous society/ regional forest & Wildlife officials in identifying the problems and finding solutions.
• Promoting awareness among all stakeholders, policy makers and community in general about forest & Wildlife Conservation for sustainable development.
