 IMPORTANT NOTICE - STUDENT ADMISSION: All those students who applied for admission in University of Haripur but could not get admission in any department due to high merit, due to mistake in application form at the time of submission or even could not resubmit returned application, for all those students portal will be opened again to make necessary changes/correction/change of option for two days i.e. on 19th and 20th Oct and re-submit the application till 20th Oct. 2021. No need to pay application processing fee of Rs: 1000 again. For them, 4th merit list will be displayed on 21st Oct. 2021.

Financial Aid & Scholarship Policy

Merit Scholarships for Newly Enrolled Students

Objective
To ensure that most talented students enter our gates.

Number of Scholarships

  • Three scholarships will be available for Bachelors and Master’s Program collectively.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students who have secured admission in Bachelors i.e. BS (Hons) or Master’s program at UoH.
  • Students having Intermediate i.e. FA/FSc or BA/BSc as their last degree.
  • Students who have secured either of the top three positions in their respective boards in their last degree i.e. FA/FSc or BA/BSc.
  • Any other if required / proposed.

Scholarship Amount

  • 100% tuition fee waiver for first semester.
  • However, continuation of this in the subsequent semester will require the students to achieve a GPA/CGPA of at least 3.75.

 

Semester Wise Merit Scholarships

Objective
To acknowledge and motivate the students to achieve and maintain the outstanding academic record.

Number of Scholarships

  • Each department will be accommodated with Three Scholarships each.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students of Bachelor program of all departments are eligible to apply.
  • The minimum GPA/CGPA of 3.50 is mandatory for selection of students.
  • Must not be availing any other scholarship in that academic year.
  • The students should have 80% attendance.
  • Students who will be involved in violation of University rules, regulations, and discipline or if any disciplinary action will initiated against them, will be ineligible to apply.
  • Any other if required / proposed.

Scholarship Amount

  • 100%, 75% and 50% tuition fee waiver will be given to First, Second and third position holders respectively.  

               

Merit-cum-Need Based Scholarship

Objective
To care for those students who have serious financial problems to such extent that they are unable to continue their academic studies.

Number of Scholarships

  • Each department will be accommodated with Three Scholarships.  

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students of Bachelors program eligible to apply.
  • Student shall appear before the student affairs committee to justify financial assistance.
  • Students have to obtain minimum GPA of 2.50. If the students fail to maintain CGPA of 2.50 in the remaining semester, their scholarship shall be withheld till such time they improve upon their grades.
  • For fresh intake, results of their Metric, FA/FSc and BA/BSc with minimum percentage of at least 60% will be considered for award of scholarship.
  • The students should have 80% attendance.
  • Must not be availing any other scholarship in academic year.
  • Students who will be involved in violation of University rules, regulations, and discipline or if any disciplinary action will initiated against them, will be ineligible to apply.
  • Any other if required / proposed.

Scholarship Amount

UOH Fee Concession Program

Tuition Fee Concession/Waiver for Orphan Students

Objective
Of the many vulnerable members of society, orphans are amongst the most helpless. Poverty, and the desperation it brings, means that many orphaned children, with a mother and siblings to support, undertake hard labor to survive. Financial assistance to orphan students is a mean to lessen the financial burden from them and to take them out of desperation.

Number of Scholarship

  • All orphans students who will apply will be considered for the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students have to apply on the prescribed application form and submit with all relevant documents when announced.
  • Students of all academic programs and departments are eligible to apply.
  • Students enrolled in semester exceeding the normal duration of degree program are not eligible.
  • Students have to submit their full semester fee before applying for the scholarship.

Scholarship Amount

  • 50% amount from the tuition fee only will be reimbursed.

Sibling Rebate

Objective
To lessen the financial burden of the families who have multiple siblings enrolled in any degree program in University of Haripur.

Number of Scholarships
All real brother / sisters enrolled in any degree program at University of Haripur who will apply will be considered for the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students have to apply on the prescribed application form and submit with all relevant documents when announced.
  • Students of all academic programs and departments are eligible to apply.
  • Students enrolled in semester exceeding the normal duration of degree program are not eligible.
  • Students have to submit their full semester fee before applying for the scholarship.

Scholarship Amount

  • 50% amount from the tuition fee only will be reimbursed.

Physically Challenge Students

Objective
To help the students with disabilities include those who have long-term physical, mental, intellectual or sensory impairments which in interaction with various barriers may hinder their full and effective participation in society on an equal basis with others.

Number of Scholarships
All physically challenged students enrolled in any degree program are eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students have to apply on the prescribed application form and submit with all relevant documents when announced.
  • Students of all academic programs and departments are eligible to apply.
  • Students enrolled in semester exceeding the normal duration of degree program are not eligible.
  • Students have to submit their full semester fee before applying for the scholarship.
  • Students having disability card issued by NADRA.

 

Other Conditions

  • A student can only avail one scholarship from the University own scholarship schemes / resources.
  • However, a student can avail two scholarships from two different resources i.e. one from the University and other from donor / resource outside the University or both from donor / resource outside the University, but that will depend on case to case basis after the need assessment and evaluation of the SRC Committee of that particular case(s).
  • Applicant should have 80% attendance to be eligible for the above mentioned scholarships.
  • Applicant should not be involved in violation of University rules, regulations, and discipline.
  • The above policy will be applicable on the admission cycle of fall 2017 and onwards.

Recommendations of ‘Scholarship Recommendation Committee’ (SRC)

The above policy is unanimously proposed by SRC committee in its meeting on September 24, 2018 at 11.00 am in the office of Student Financial Aid.
