INTRODUCTION TO MASTER IN COMPUTER SCIENCE (MCS)
The MCS is a two year undergraduate program after Bachelors (traditional fourteen years of education). The program spans over 4 semesters and consists of 72 credit hours (max). The program is designed especially for Bachelor graduates who wish to enter this highly exciting and challenging field to meet the growing need of computer science experts in the rapidly evolving computing industry. The program provides graduated will with a strong technological base that will enable them to capitalize on the increasing career opportunities in this sector. This specialization provides a highly demanded expertise, great mobility and flexibility, and an impressive range of possible career choices in the industry. There is a project in the last semester of the program in which the students apply their learning in consolidation that offers comprehensive approach to the software development. The main goal of this program is to develop students’ academic and technical skills so that they can develop computer applications effectively with the understanding of mathematics and computer science in respect to computing practices.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

  1. To prepare eLearning student with an innovative practices related to computer science application and enhance the programming skills for solving computer science operations and strategies productivity in local and global platform.
  2. To equip the students with strong critical, analytical, ethical and practical skills related to application development providing grip on mathematical background and motivate them for leadership roles in the dynamic field of Computer Science discipline.
  3. Help students develop complex problem-solving skills, especially those required to analyze, design and implement solutions involving the use of a computer.
  4. Provide a background in modern computing systems and the theoretical aspects of computer science.
  5. Demonstrate Depth and Breadth of knowledge through effective communication, interpersonal, managerial & technical skills and encourage students to work in teams.
  6. Demonstrate an understanding of professional standards and recognize obligations to society, the profession and the environment.

After the completion of the study, students are expected to:

  1. Apply mathematical and scientific reasoning to a variety of computational problems
  2. Ability to apply knowledge of computing and mathematics appropriate to the discipline.
  3. Design, correctly implement and document solutions to significant computational problems
  4. Ability to analyze a problem and identify and define the computing requirements to solution.
  5. Ability to design, implement and evaluate a computer-based system, process, component or program to meet desired needs.
  6. Ability to function effectively on teams to accomplish a common goal.
