HOD's Message

Department of Management Sciences was established in Haripur Campus of Hazara University and inherited to University of Haripur (UOH) when the campus was upgraded to University as a Consequence of charter given by government of Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa.

Development of a society is un-thinkable without the development of its corresponding educational needs. The big strides in globalization have made our planet a global village in the actual sense. There is no possibility of rhetoric in this regard and the societies indulge in lips service to the primacy of education will be doing so at great peril to their very survival. Our motto is to serve the society in consonance with the changes warranted by the priorities which is setting for itself. 

A Business School/Department is known by the quality of its students, the professionalism of its faculty, the dedication and leadership of its Management, the vision and guidance of the members of Syndicate and Senate and value of its alumni to society.

Our faculty is of high caliber and competent. The system of merit, truth, diligence, tolerance and humility has established a culture in which outstanding young men and women and outstanding teachers create a community dedicated to quality, innovation and challenge.

The Department provides an enabling environment for quality teaching, learning and research through its state of art facilities and renowned competent faculty members. It offers a wealth of study opportunities across a wide range of disciplines. We are justifiably proud of our achievements in imparting knowledge and developing skills in our students, laced with enviable personality traits.

A diverse range of societies cater for many interests and student activities from debate competitions to sports. All our academic and extra-curricular activities are rooted in the real world, ensuring that our students gain relevant learning experiences and knowledge that will put them at the cutting edge.

Our graduates are to work hard and match in performance with the graduates of the most renowned business schools of the country. Our faculty is of high caliber and competent. Regarding evils of plagiarism, we have a “no tolerance” policy and punish students and faculty who pass off somebody else’s work as their own. The Department continuous to discourage cheating by imposing deterrent punishment on students who try to take unfair advantage against other students and against Department’s own Standards.

The Department ensures that no student is deprived of education because of financial constraints. A number of scholarship are available, these include, University of Haripur, Merit based Scholarships, University of Haripur Merit and need based scholarship, Sibling Rebate, Scholarship of Orphan students, Worker Welfare board scholarship, Ministry of Religious Affairs scholarship, Fauji Foundation Awards, PAF scholarship Shaheen Fellow- Ships and The “Prime Minister’s Tuition Fee Payment Scheme” Scholarship etc

Department has linkages with the Banks/ Financial Intuitions and Insdurties at Hattar. The Department offers courses and programs which are relevant to the needs of the market. We are planning to offer additional languages i.e. Arabic and Chines as options to our student. Our faculty and students are doing research and publishing the same in the research journals of international repute.

Our faculty members are attending Professional conferences not with in the country but also around the world. These types are conferences are useful for networking and keeping our faculty informed about the later development in the areas of business management. The Department looks forward to continue to change, adapt and be among the best Business Schools/Departments in the country, always producing leadership, and ideas for tomorrow. We are excited at the opportunities and the challenges for Businesses and business Education.
