Circular for Field Day on 30th April, 2019 organized by Department of Agronomy (Agricultural Sciences)

As a part of our commitment towards restoring hope and building community, we are striving to resolve the problems being faced by the local community. Medicinal plants are important source of income apart from other advantages but less attention has been paid to this neglected sub-sector. In addition to this our farming community needs to be equipped with the scientific knowledge for better production of medicinal crops. The department of Agronomy (Agricultural Sciences), The University of Haripur has been organizing field days regularly for the last few years as an important technology transfer activity. Owing to its importance in our agro-based economy, The Department of Agronomy is therefore, organizing a field day on ‘Production Technology of Kalonji and Quinoa crops’ for the farming community of Haripur on April, 30, 2019.
The inaugural session will be chaired by the honourable Vice Chancellor UoH. The worthy Vice-Chancellor will also deliver a short lecture on medicinal value of Kalonji crop. The following program will be followed:

  • Lecture on Production Technology of Kalonji and Quinoa crops’ By Dr Syed Asghar

  • Refreshment for participants
