The Spring Tree planting 2019 Initiatives by UOH Group 3 at KTS Sector 3 Haripur

Trees are a wonderful creation of Allah, The Almighty. They are our best friend. The trees around us are extremely important and have always been necessary for improving the human condition - both during a tree’s life and after a tree’s harvest. It would not be stretching things if one were to say that without trees, we humans would not be able to exist on this beautiful planet.

Trees muffle urban noise almost as effectively as stone walls. Trees, planted at strategic points in neighborhoods or around our house, can abate major noises from freeways and airports. During windy, cold seasons, trees located on the windward side act as windbreaks. A windbreak can lower home heating bills by up to 30% and have a significant effect on reducing snow drifts. A reduction in wind can also reduce the drying effect on soil and vegetation behind the windbreak. Finally, trees make financial sense too: Real estate values increase when trees beautify a property or neighborhood. Believe it or not, trees can increase the property value of our home by 15% or more!
We should motivate communities to plant more trees to create a green and peaceful world. As an assignment, Group 3 students of Department of Forestry and Wildlife Management, the University of Haripur decided to raise awareness about tree planting at Khalabat Township, Sector 3, near Pheasant school and college, Haripur.

Following is the brief summary and ceremonial evidence (photos) of the third group of students on Spring Tree planting 2019 Initiative.
