Awareness Sessions on Faculty/Staff startup policy of Business Incubation Center

Resource Persons: Dr. Rehmat Zaman (Manager BIC) and Ms. Neelam Akhtar (Executive Training associate)
Business incubation center arranged series of sessions with departments of the University of Haripur in which BIC team talked about the terms and policies for faculty member to start business and its benefits.
Procedure for Startups
Faculty member and employees of UOH are highly encouraged to get engaged in their own business with mutual benefit of UOH  
For the startups by faculty following criteria shall be adopted

  • Faculty member shall discuss business idea with manager BIC
  • Manager BIC will forward business idea to BIC committee
  • BIC committee will forward recommendation to VC for appropriate actions
  • After approval by competent authority, faculty member shall be allowed for incubation agreement.

Often, participating in consultancy agreements involves high-profile and challenging projects that may benefit members of BIC and UOH community.

  • Adding Significantly to faculty and student expertise
  • Demonstrable connection to curriculum development, new teaching cases and executive  business program  development 
  • Developing academia industry linkages.

Members Providing Trainings/workshops
All the faculty and departments are requested to prepare short training workshops or short training courses  modules  for potential market for example IT department can offer  short courses like training on MS office , Webpage designing , Programming tools etc.
Main role of BIC would be to facilitate the trainer in arranging the hall, printing pan flex/certificates , coordinate with participants for registration  etc. an all other necessary arrangements required to conduct the training  in university In coordination with the  Recourse person . Furthermore BIC will maintain the record of all income and expenses for such training/workshops/events.
