The University of Haripur, in collaboration with the Provost's Office and the IT Computing Society, organized a seminar on "Kashmir Black Day."

The university offers academic programs and courses designed to develop effective leadership skills, including leadership development courses, workshops, and seminars. Higher education at the University of Haripur encourages critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, which are essential for leaders to analyze complex situations, make informed decisions, and solve problems.

Moreover, the University of Haripur is not only dedicated to academic education but also fosters leadership qualities in its students. It prepares them for leadership roles in various fields, such as business, politics, education, and social change. During the seminar, Vice Chancellor Prof.Dr. Shafiq ur Rahman emphasized the significance of commemorating "Kashmir Black Day." It's an occasion to reflect on a long-standing and complex issue that has caused pain to many and strained relations between nations.

The history of Kashmir is marked by complexities, conflicts, and differing narratives. The annexation of the region to India in 1947 ignited a contentious issue, leading to decades of instability and suffering for the people of Kashmir. As an educational institution, the University of Haripur stresses the importance of knowledge, empathy, and understanding when addressing such issues.

Education and research have a pivotal role in ending discrimination and promoting peace. Only through knowledge and dialogue can we work towards common ground and a resolution to the Kashmir conflict. Students and scholars bear the responsibility of seeking the truth, understanding different perspectives, and engaging in constructive dialogue. On this Kashmir Black Day, it is an opportunity to pray for understanding and peace and renew the commitment to being agents of change, using knowledge and skills to contribute to a brighter and more peaceful future.

The University of Haripur, located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is a guarantor of a bright future, upholding character, culture, and civilization.
