In the conference, the special guest Dr. Mufti Umar Farooq Rashid, Assistant Professor Abdul Qadir Trust, was very politely welcomed. The conference was started with a very beautiful recitation of the Holy Quran and Naat Rasool Maqbool (peace be upon him).
Dr. Mufti Umar Farooq Rashid thanked the university administration and talking about Sirat-ul-Nabi said that the Sirat-ul-Nabi conference will provide awareness to Muslims about the life, character and teachings of the Prophet of Islam. It is the best source of awareness. Understanding the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is very important for Muslims because in order to lead a righteous life, It is very important to follow the teachings of the Holy Prophet. Knowing about the Prophet's life in the end of time helps Muslims to develop a deeper spiritual connection with Islam.
He said that improving oneself in terms of morals is the real key to success. If we are ruling the hearts of people because of morals, then we are successful. The nation which is morally weak will be left behind. He said that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) always tried to improve people morally and based his nation on that.
University of Haripur is an excellent educational institution in terms of cultural values. He said that this Sirat-un-Nabi conference will allow students to come together, strengthen their relationships and engage in charitable activities and community building initiatives. It will provide opportunities to be and education among students will play an important role in promoting spirituality, unity and understanding as well as promoting positive relations between Muslims and non-Muslims.
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Shafiq ur Rahman also addressed the distinguished guests, distinguished scholars, faculty members and dear students.
Expressing my thoughts, I stand before you as the Chancellor of this prestigious university with great humility and gratitude. I am very impressed by the presence of such eminent scholars and the enthusiasm of our students in exploring the life and teachings of the Prophet.
This conference has been a profound journey of enlightenment, a journey that affirms the importance of studying the Surat al-Nabi. The life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is not just a historical account, it is a timeless source of guidance, wisdom and inspiration, worked tirelessly to advance knowledge and promote understanding. I hope that this conference has instilled in you a thirst for knowledge and a deep appreciation for the values and principles that the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) laid down. Remember that education is a lifelong journey, and the pursuit of wisdom is a noble endeavor.
He further said, "I personally thank the Lord for including me as one of his believers and followers, for the lessons we've learned, the connections we've made, and the inspiration we've received." Carry on. Let us strive to apply the teachings of Muhammad in our lives, promoting compassion, tolerance and unity in our universities and the community beyond. Be a follower of Amin. Addressing the students in particular, he said, "Be the ambassadors of Pakistan, be the ambassadors of the religion of Islam and be proud of the fact that we are the ummah of your Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and inshallah we will be leaders."
At the end of the conference, questions and answers were exchanged between Dr. Mufti Umar Farooq Rashid and the students and the Controller of Examination, Dr. Zia ur Rehman presented the shield to Dr. Mufti Umar Farooq Rashid on behalf of the University of Haripur.
