Department of Biology, UoH students lead Successful Cleanliness Campaign at Khanpur Dam

University installed waste-bins at different places of dam site. According to varsity representatives, in a commendable effort to promote environmental awareness and civic responsibility, students from the Department of Biology of the University of Haripur embarked on a successful cleanliness campaign at Khanpoor Dam today. The initiative was led by the dynamic Chairman of the Department, Prof. Dr. Aziz Ullah, along with faculty members (Dr. Saleha Ishfaq, Dr. Kamran, Dr. Asma Ul Husna, Dr Shahid Ali Shah, Dr M. Israr, Dr Wajeeha Saeed, Miss Kanza). The campaign drew full support from the university leadership, including the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Shafiq Ur Rehman. The campaign, which aimed to address the increasing environmental concerns and pollution at Khanpoor Dam, witnessed an enthusiastic participation of students who demonstrated their commitment to maintaining cleanliness and preserving the natural beauty of the region.

In a stirring address to the dedicated students onsite, Vice Chancellor, expressed profound appreciation for their exemplary efforts in the cleanliness campaign at Khanpoor Dam. He underscored the campaign's substantial positive impact on environment, applauding the students for their unwavering commitment to preserving the natural splendor of the region. The installation of waste-bins at dam’s different sites further demonstrated their meticulous approach to waste management. Prof. Rehman emphasized the pivotal role of such initiatives in cultivating environmental consciousness and urged the students to extend this ethos beyond the university premises, actively contributing to the broader community's well-being. This acknowledgment underscores the University of Haripur's dedication towards responsible citizenship and creating a positive impact on community at large.
