Pursuing the policy of merit, The University of Haripur proudly announces the recruitment of Dr. Raheem Shahzad as Assistant Professor in the Department of Horticulture.

Brief Biography:
Dr. Raheem Shahzad obtained his B.Sc (Hons) degree in Agriculture Sciences with specialization in Horticulture from The University of Haripur, Pakistan. He was the first degree holder of University of Haripur. Dr. Shahzad was awarded an International scholarship for Master in Agriculture Sciences and Ph.D in Plant Biosciences at Kyungpook National University, South Korea. Dr. Shahzad worked as Postdoctoral Fellow at Kyungpook National University, South Korea and served as Assistant Professor at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, Saudi Arabia. Currently, He is serving as Assistant Professor in Department of Horticulture, University of Haripur, Pakistan. Dr. Shahzad’s research interest is focused on underlying mechanisms involved in Endophytic microbial association with host plants growing in extreme living conditions and assess their valuable and interactive role in improving crop growth and physiology in marginalized lands. Dr. Shahzad have attended more than 20 International Conferences to present his scientific outcomes, registered 3 International Patents and published more than 52 research articles in refereed journals with the more than 156 cumulative Impact Factors.   

Research Interest:
Dr. Shahzad’s research interest is to find underlying mechanisms involved in Endophytic microbial association with host plants growing in extreme living conditions and assess their valuable and interactive role in improving crop growth and physiology in marginalized lands.  Using such approaches are not only eco-friendly but can also help in achieving the sustainable global food securities.
