Department of Soil & Climate Science

Department of Soil & Climate Sciences is going to organize An International Workshop on October 15-16, 2020

An International Workshop on "Use of GIS Techniques and Stable Isotopes for Sustainable Development in Agriculture and Environnement" is going to organized on October 15-16, 2020 organized by Department of Soil & Climate Sciences, The University of Haripur.

Aims and objectives
An opportunity for research students, researchers, academicians, professional for the use of GIS-techniques and stable isotope mass spectrometry in their research works, project drawing, design, and career development.
Geographic Information System (GIS)
The GIS is a computer-based system that analyzes and displays geographically referenced information. It uses data attached to a unique location.
Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry (IRMS)
The IRMS measures relative abundance of stable isotopes in a sample. However, the abundances of various stable isotopes vary according to physical, chemical, and biological isotope fractionation processes. A mass spectrum is a plot of the ion signal as a function of mass-to-charge ratio. These spectra are used to determine elemental or isotopic signature of a sample, the masses of particles and molecules, and to elucidate chemical identity or structure of molecules and other chemical compounds.
